A peek at practice

An example question. Nothing here is submitted.

Big problems can have little steps.

Split 24 into 20 and 4. Multiply each part by 3.

See the worked steps

20 × 3 = 60. 4 × 3 = 12. Add the parts: 60 + 12 = 72.

Questions with hints
1

Eventually correct includes first-try answers and retries before worked steps. Assisted completion is counted separately.

For 24 × 3, the first answer was 62. After a hint, the next answer was 72. Family review shows both attempts.

Review splitting 24 into 20 and 4 together. The saved attempts give you a place to start the conversation.

What do these results mean?

First try means correct on the first scored answer before worked steps were revealed. A hint does not remove first-try credit. Eventually correct includes first-try answers and later correct answers before worked steps. Assisted means finished after seeing worked steps. Invalid answer formats are saved but do not count as scored tries. These results describe this practice, not mastery.

Free includes the five most recent completed results with basic correct and incorrect outcomes. Attempts, hint details, and full history are Family features.

Questions before you begin

Which grades and topics does MathSprig support?

MathSprig offers practice for grades 1-8. Topics include counting, addition, multiplication, decimals, ratios, proportional relationships, and linear equations. You choose the topics when assigning practice. MathSprig supports practice at home alongside school learning.

Does my child need an email address?

No. A parent creates the account and child profile. Your child signs in using your family link or code, their login name, and PIN.

What help can my child use?

Lessons, hints, and worked steps are available during practice. A hint is recorded separately and does not remove first-try credit. Finishing after viewing worked steps counts as assisted completion.

What does Free include?

Free lets a new family have one active child profile and create three new practices per week. It includes lessons and the five most recent completed results with basic correct and incorrect outcomes. The allowance resets Monday at 00:00 UTC. Attempts, hint details, full history, and topic progress are Family features.

What can I review with Family?

Family includes full practice history, individual submitted attempts, hint details, and topic progress. Results distinguish correct first tries, eventual correctness before worked steps, and assisted completion. Family supports up to four active child profiles and unlimited new practices.

How does the Family trial work?

Registration starts Free, not a trial. An eligible account can choose to start one 14-day Family trial without a credit card. It does not become paid unless you later authorize a payment method. When the trial expires, practice access locks unless you activate Family; it does not automatically return to Free. Review the current amounts and payment terms on Plans.

Can my child stop and return later?

Yes. Practice questions and submitted progress are saved. Your child can return to unfinished practice without getting a different set of questions. An answer is saved when its submission succeeds; unsubmitted typing is not saved progress.

Do the results tell me my child has mastered a topic?

No. Results show what happened in the recorded practice, including retries and help where your plan provides those details. They do not establish mastery, predict school performance, or automatically choose the next topic.
